Cleansing crystals is super important as they absorb energy. But, you don’t have to wait for a full moon. There are some super easy ways to cleanse them quickly.

Handle with Care

Crystals should always be treated with the utmost care which means you should always think about cleansing crystals. Although they appear to be quite hard and solid, they can be scratched, chipped or even broken.

Crystals Hold Energy

Because crystals can attract and absorb both positive and negative energies, it is vital that you remove any negative energy before use.

There are many methods of cleansing crystals and it is really a matter of personal preference.

• Natural water
• Salt Water
• Sound
• Amethyst/Quartz Cluster
• Incense
• Smudging

There are other methods but these are the easiest to access.

Be Careful With Water

You have to be really careful when cleaning some crystals in water as they are not soluble. Friedrich Mohs devised the Mohs scale as a way of defining the hardness of different crystals and minerals. Selenite is a typical crystal that cannot be cleansed in water.

Easiest Way to Cleanse Crystals of Energy

Using incense and smudging can be an easy way to cleanse your crystals as well as your room. However, personally I prefer using sound as I find this the most quick and effective method. You could put all of your crystals into a large singing bowl but I prefer to use tingshas in the picture above. You just clang the tingshas together and swirl them in a circular motion around the crystals. You can then dowse afterwards to ask if they are cleared sufficiently, although it’s not needed as, even though this a very quick and simple method, it is highly effective.

ALWAYS BE SURE TO GROUND YOURSELF BEFORE YOU WORK WITH YOUR CRYSTALS OR DO ANY FORM OF ENERGY WORK AND MAKE SURE YOU REGULARLY CLEANSE YOUR CRYSTALS.
